Berber tribes living in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, are the creators of these most exciting rugs. Their tools, besides an elementary loom, are usually recycled raw materials and most of all an unlimited imagination, as far as design and colors are concerned. The best pieces are the “vintage” ones, produced between the 60s and 80s. The decorative power of some of these rugs is simply captivating, to a degree as to resemble modern and contemporary art. Their extremely diverse style is so different to any other type of rug, that makes them “unique” in the world of carpets.
