The most charming kilims in the south-western parts of Iran, are the ones made in the Fars province by the Qashqai tribes. The bold geometric designs accompanied occasionally by heraldic motifs, are characteristic of these kilims. The element though, that makes some of these kilims to really stand out, as is often the case, it is none other but the choice of colors. The orange-red ground, the white central medallion, the dark and light browns, supported by amazing green and sand colors, all-inclusive in a straight forward geometric design, are the elements that characterize this wonderful kilim, as being one of a powerful and yet quite disciplined temperament.
