Playing with the materiality and the pile heights, as well as the various hues of color, the works are a remarkable example of how one medium can be translated into another, in this case a drawing into a carpet. The shimmering bamboo silk, along with the various weaving techniques, achieve a three dimensional effect, making each work a living canvas.
